Enjoy the most versatile Essential Oil available: Lavender! Lavender is aptly named "The Mother of All Essential Oils" as it has noticeable qualities in Aromatherapy as well as physical healing properties.
In France, a fragrance developer accidentally lit the arm of his lab coat on fire with a very flammable substance. In his panic, he searched for any non-flammable fluid to extinguish the fire. A large vat of Lavender Essential Oil was nearby and so he plunged his arm into the container. Soon after, his doctors were astounded at the speedy recovery of his burns. While severe, no cosmetic surgery would be needed and the healing was faster than they'd ever seen!
Lavender has many historical references, but was rediscovered as more than just a fragrancing ingredient after that, and many skin treatment products contain Lavender Essential Oils for ailments from acne and eczema to light cuts and even arthitis!

Direct Aromatherapy
One simple way to add Lavender to Your Life is by adding 3-6 drops of Essential Oil to any unscented and/or organic body products (if you want to do the whole container).

Tissue:

1. Breathe slowly and deeply in a relaxed position.
2. Add 1 Drop of Pure Lavender Essential Oil to a tissue and hold a hand's width away and below your mouth and nose
3. Breathe in deeply and exhale slowly twice
4. Take away the Tissue for a few deep and slow breaths and repeat as desired.

*Beware immitation Essential Oils that are Lavender Scented. If your product does not read "steam distilled" or "pure extract", it is likely that your product contains a similar extract called "Lavendin" which has a much more potent smell but lacks the therapeutic qualities of real Lavender Essential Oils. In addition, Lavendin tends to sensitize your smell receptors, often resulting in becoming more sensitive to strong or unpleasant smells.

Scent your own Soap!
Many Organic Castile Liquid Soaps come in Lavender Scent. If you can't find one (find one here), you can put a single drop in your hand with a dose of unscented Liquid Soap, and mix in your palm before applying to a loofa, cloth, etc.

We do not recommend blending Lavender with scented products, as the combination may not be desireable. We recommend only mixing Essential Oils with Organic bath and body compounds.

Tumble-Dry and Sigh!
Place a few drops (well seperated) on your favorite dryer sheets, and place in the dryer half-way throug the cycle. You can also do this on a clean damp cloth for the entire dryer cycle. Works best for light heat cycles, especially for delicates, although heavy clothing tends to retain much more of the smell! This can also be done with delicates in the rinse cycle, or if you wash them in a sink. We don't recommend mixing Lavender Essential Oils with non-organic laundry detergents of any kind and advise to use Essential Oils in the clean water of rinse cycles.
